A Complex Site Overhaul with an Emphasis on Client Savings and Resilient infrastructure.This extensive full-site development for McKee Homes included a wide range of services — from initial grading to complex utility systems, DOT roadway improvements, and stormwater infrastructure. Over the course of two years, this challenging, hilly terrain was transformed into a highly functional, sustainable development, completed in October 2024.
Intelligent Grading and Earthwork Solutions:
Our team began with comprehensive grading and earthwork across a rugged, elevated site. The goal was to prepare the land while minimizing environmental and financial impact. Through detailed analysis and design collaboration, we reengineered lot placements, reducing export volume by over 40,000 cubic yards; all of which would have required costly rock blasting. This value engineering saved the client over $2 million and avoided unnecessary disruption.
Robust Utility and Septic Infrastructure
Highland View included the installation of 7 miles of septic lines to serve this growing residential community. Utilities were carefully planned and executed across rolling terrain and active water flows. Our team ensured seamless integration of all services, with thorough utility testing and documentation performed throughout the project lifecycle.
Stormwater Management and Pond Construction:
To handle water flow in a challenging hillside environment, our crews constructed seven fully functional stormwater ponds, each designed for long-term stability and compliance. Despite multiple hurricanes and persistent rainfall, the site never experienced a shutdown—a testament to our team’s proactive erosion control and stormwater management systems.
DOT Road Widening and Jumbo Culvert Installation:
The scope included widening a DOT road, which required traffic control coordination and compliance with all public infrastructure standards. A 75” jumbo culvert was installed to manage a natural spring running through the site. This critical feature maintained water flow and protected downstream systems—documented by our team for future reference.
Seamless Residential Building Development:
Our team prioritized precision in grading and utility layout to support the construction of high-quality homes across the site. Each lot was carefully prepared with future residents in mind—ensuring proper drainage, structural stability, and accessibility for vertical construction.
